I follow a paleo diet when I'm home and in control of meals. But, when I'm traveling and staying with other people I will eat what they serve, more or less. Not that it's impossible to stick to it while traveling, I just don't want to be in any way a burden to my hosts. So I keep it simple. I've found that 2 days every 2 weeks or so haven't been enough to derail things thus far...
What sort of a diet do you follow? Do you follow the zone or pale? How is keeping on your diet while traveling?
